Mama & Mia's Story

Hi Everyone! I'm Vanessa (aka Mama)

I began my love for cooking and baking at a very young age, my weekends were spent reading through old cookbooks, testing recipes on my family, and always offering to make dessert at family gatherings! I attended the Art Institute of Vancouver in 2016 where I graduated with a diploma in Culinary Arts. If someone were to tell me that one day I would have my own cookie business, I wouldn't believe them! Now that it is here,  I feel so humbled and grateful to be apart of the "cookie community" and even more grateful that I'm able to share it with my built in bestie (aka Mia)

Our little babe was born in 2019, arriving almost 3 months early, I never knew I could love something so much until I saw her. She is full of love, life and laughter and we are so proud of her and how far she has come! Being at home full time for the business, and the opportunity to spend time with her everyday and see her grow into the smart, beautiful, feisty little girl she is has been the greatest gift of all.

So now that you know a little bit about Mama & Mia, you should know the person who pushed me to create something out of it. Justin, my amazing husband! We met when we were 14 & 15 years old. He has been my greatest supporter since day 1. Over 10 years later, hundreds of amazing memories, high school graduations, post secondary, a big wedding on a mountain and now, our little Mia.  He is the reason I was able to create Mama & Mia Sweet Treats, and the reason I am proud to offer you custom created cookies made with love and a foundation of family to share with the ones you love most
